Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small But Mighty My speakers arrived just before my trip overseas, and I was able to use it extensively throughout my trip. It is the perfect size for taking around without taking up too much space. I can’t say enough about the battery life. I was able to start and end my day with continuous music without having to charge it, which was convenient and a plus. For such a small device it holds its own with the sound quality. The thing that I disliked about small speakers were the fact that it couldn’t handle high volumes, and the sound would get very distorted and muffled. With these speakers, whether I was listening inside in my hotel room, or sitting out by the hot tub, I was able to get great acoustics and bass regardless of what genre I was listening to. The app made it incredibly easy to adjust the settings to what I was listening to. Not to mention it has a very impressive Bluetooth range. Left my phone away from the speakers multiple times and not once did I have to deal with my music cutting out. This was a lifesaver for my trip. With such a small form factor I didn’t have to worry about it taking up too much space. With the sound quality and durability these speakers provide without breaking the bank, I can’t recommend these enough. Might have to grab another one in the future so that I can link them to take advantage of the stereo sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly Powerful, Easily Portable The Soundlink Flex 2nd Generation has simply got to be the best small portable speaker I have had the pleasure of using. Truly a cut above the rest. Packaged with environmental friendliness in mind, you get all of the essentials with no unnecessary waste. Hard-wearing materials paired with a rugged build, IP67 rated dust and water resistance and easy to stash away has given me the freedom to take it along on my outdoor adventures and provide an audio atmosphere to suit any moment. I am someone who is always on the move and looking for the next big experience and opportunity in life, and this is why I love having the strap that is attached to the speaker so that I can secure it externally to my backpack and bring it with me as a companion. The strap is strong, firmly attached, and has withstood a lot of strain during my hikes. The sound produced by this speaker is what I have come to expect from a Bose product. Even for a smaller speaker, the sound is rich and profound. Everything from classical to pop, all the way through to metal sounds crisp and clear with every last note discernible to the ear. A gormet meal to any audiophile. This speaker is perfect for group gatherings around the bonfire, shared enjoyment of music whilst on the move with friends, and during some alone time whilst relaxing. It wouldn't quite be suitable for large social events and parties. However, you can use 'Speaker Link' and connect multiple Soundlink Flex speakers together, including Soundlink Max, using the 'shortcut' button. I have found Speaker Link to be intuitive to set up, and work exceptionally well. There is no discernable latency between the speakers, and they truly work as if they were one. Placing a Flex in each corner of the room and linking them together would certainly get the party going. There is one thing to keep in mind when using this speaker: it is top heavy and has a tendency to roll over if placed on an uneven surface. However, if placed on a flat surface, it is surprisingly stable considering it has a small foot print. Pros: - IP67 rating. - Profound sound quality for its size. - Portable and features a durable carry strap. - Strong build quality and premium materials. - Speaker Link performs exceptionally well. Cons: - No Aux port. - Top heavy with a tendency to roll over on uneven surfaces.
