On the back of your TV, locate the HDMI eARC or HDMI ARC connector

Note: If your TV does not have an HDMI connector with an eARC or ARC label, use the optical cable to connect the TV to the soundbar. An HDMI input must have ARC (Audio Return Channel) functionality in order for the TV to send its audio to the soundbar.
Insert one end of the HDMI cable into the TV's HDMI eARC or HDMI ARC connector
Insert the other end of the cable into the HDMI (ARC) connector on the soundbar
Log in to the app using your existing Bose account credentials or follow the instructions in the app to create a Bose Music account.
After adding the soundbar to your account, you will be able to link music streaming services with the account.
In the My Bose screen, tap + to add a system to your account
Follow the instructions in the app to connect to the speaker and set up its Wi-Fi® network connection.
Note: If you don’t see your product:
- Close the Bose Music app on any nearby devices
- Turn on Bluetooth® on the device running the app
- Bring the device running the app close to your product
- Unplug your product from power for 30 seconds
You will need approximately ten minutes when the room is quiet to complete this process.
Tap the image of the soundbar shown in the bottom-right corner of the screen
Select Settings > ADAPTiQ > Run ADAPTiQ
Follow the app instructions to calibrate the audio performance of the soundbar to the acoustics of the listening area
In the future, if you connect an optional bass module or surround speakers, move the soundbar or move any furniture, run ADAPTiQ audio calibration again to ensure optimal sound quality.

Select Settings
Select TV to configure the remote to operate your TV
Select Sources to configure the remote to operate other devices, such as a cable box, satellite box or disc player.
Follow the app instructions to complete the programming of the remote
